Welcome to the BloonsGuide.com guide to conquering the new BTD6 map, Glacial Trail, on CHIMPS difficulty (and with only 7 towers) in Bloons TD 6!
Throughout this guide, you'll learn both how to beat Glacial Trail on CHIMPS difficulty and learn a few basic tips and strategies you can use on any map to consistently tackle CHIMPS difficulty elsewhere.

And a final note before we get started:
It's important to place towers on the exact rounds indicated in this guide. Since each tower placed freezes for 2 rounds 10 rounds after placement, tower round placements are crucial to minimize the number of towers frozen at any given time.
Also, it's a good idea to have Auto Start disabled.
With that out of the way, let's get started.
The Final Build
If you'd like to see the final Glacial Trail CHIMPS build now and reverse engineer it yourself, here's a screenshot along with the list of towers used in this guide:

Early Game & Starting Towers
In classic BloonsGuide.com fashion, our first tower placed will be the hero Sauda.
With a calm fury, Sauda can carve Bloons up with her twin razor-sharp swords.
$5,000
Sauda is a perfectly viable hero on this map. The loops on Glacial Trail give Sauda multiple opportunities to attack Bloons and multiple opportunities to hit Bloons with a single Leaping Sword Attack (once on initial hit and another when Bloons loop around).
Round 6
Start by placing Sauda near the first loop of the map, ensuring that she fits as snugly as possible near the top and right boundaries of this placement spot:
You'll want to spend some time getting this placement right to ensure we can fit a tower to Sauda's left later in the game.
After this, you should be OK until Round 12.
Round 12
There will either be a green or red Bloon that sneaks past Sauda on Round 12. You can use Sauda's Leaping Sword Attack to pop this Bloon.
After Round 13 - Before Round 14
At the end of Round 13 and before Round 14, set Sauda's targeting to 'Strong.'
After Round 14 is over and before Round 15, set Sauda's targeting back to 'First.' Then, place a Wizard above Sauda (see image below), ensuring the Wizard is as close to the bottom right of the placement spot as possible.
Then, upgrade the Wizard to 1 / 2 / 0 and set the Wall of Fire placement as close as you can to the left side of the ice spike in the middle of the loop:
This Wizard Monkey will be upgraded to Dragon's Breath later in the run, which works great with Sauda's extra damage to "harmed" Bloons unlocked at Level 11:
"Gains extra damage versus "harmed" bloons, inflicting +2 damage to Bloons or +10 damage to MOABs with her main swords. Bloons affected by any valid lingering status effect (e.g. slowdown and/or a damage-over-time), excluding stuns and Bloon Bleed, triggers the aforementioned damage bonus. Can stack with the bonus stunned bloon damage."
After Round 19 - Before Round 20
Once Round 19 is over, place a Druid to the left of Sauda. We'll upgrade this Druid to 1 / 3 / 0 as soon as we have the gold.
Be sure to keep this Druid's targeting option to "First" for the entirety of the run.
Round 22 - 23
You should have enough gold by the end of Round 22 and going into Round 23 to upgrade your Druid to 1 / 3 / 0. Go ahead and do that.
Round 28
There is a slight chance you will have to use Sauda's Leaping Sword Attack on this round to catch a Bloon that slips through, but it's not guaranteed. Be on your guard!
After Round 31 - Before Round 32
Before Round 32, place a Spike Factory at the end of the map, ensuring it fits as snugly as possible into the top right of the placement spot:
Then, upgrade it to 1 / 0 / 2 and set the targeting to "Smart." This will ensure that spikes build up at the very end of the map, giving us the maximum amount of time to pop Bloons before they reach the spikes.
Round 36
Once you have the gold during Round 36, upgrade your Wizard to 1 / 3 / 0, or Dragon's Breath.
Before Round 40
You should have enough gold before Round 40 starts to upgrade your Spike Factory to 3 / 0 / 2, or Spiked Balls in the top path.
After Round 41 - Before Round 42
Before Round 42, place an Alchemist underneath your Spike Factory and upgrade it to 3 / 0 / 1.
Round 48
Once you have the gold during Round 48, upgrade your Spike Factory to 4 / 0 / 2, or Spiked Mines in the top path.
After Round 49 - Before Round 50
Before Round 50, place a Mortar Monkey on the cliff above your Wizard and upgrade it to 0 / 2 / 3. Then, set the mortar placement directly on top of your Wizard:
Since we aren't using Shimmer on our Wizard Monkey, the Signal Flare will help reveal any Camos if Sauda or our Spike Factory are frozen during rounds when they appear.
Round 51
You should have enough gold during Round 51 to upgrade your Druid to 1 / 4 / 0, or Jungle's Bounty in the middle path.
This will give our Druid of the Jungle vines more popping power and put us one step closer to Spirit of the Forest.
Round 62 - Fortified MOAB Troubles
Round 62 will require some finesse. The Fortified Ceramic Bloons contained within the Fortified MOABs can cause some issues, so we'll need to use Sauda's Leaping Sword Attack and Sword Charge skills at the right times to ensure they're popped.
When the first Fortified MOAB pops, wait until the Bloons it spawns enter the second loop of the map and use Sauda's Leaping Sword Attack ability:
This should pop the first round of resulting Fortified MOAB Bloons.
Then, once the second Fortified MOAB pops and its resulting Bloons get near the second loop, use Sauda's Sword Charge ability to clear the second wave of Bloons from the MOAB.
Round 71
When the large line of MOABs appear on Round 71, use Sauda's Leaping Sword Attack to quickly pop them.
Round 72
There will be a number of Bloons that sneak past your defenses on Round 72.
Normally this wouldn't be an issue since we have a powerful Spike Factory; however, the Spike Factory is frozen this round.
Once you pop the first BFB and the resulting MOABs, use Sauda's Sword Charge ability on the resulting Bloons as they enter the second loop of the map to clear them out.
Round 73
Once you have the gold on Round 73, upgrade your Druid to 1 / 5 / 0, or Spirit of the Forest in the middle path.
After Round 83 - Before Round 84
Before Round 84, place another Spike Factory in the space above the second loop and upgrade it to 2 / 4 / 0, or Spike Storm in the middle path:
Spike Storm will help us clear late game MOAB rounds while we save for Carpet of Spikes.
Round 85
When the ZOMG appears on Round 85, use your Spike Storm ability. This will clear the ZOMG in the absense of Sauda and your Wizard Monkey.
As soon as Spike Storm comes off cooldown, use it again to pop the second ZOMG.
Round 87
When the wave of ZOMGs appear on screen, use your Spike Storm ability.
Round 89
In the middle of Round 89, you should gain enough gold to purchase Carpet of Spikes for your second Spike Factory.
Upgrade your second Spike Factory to 2 / 5 / 0, or Carpet of Spikes.
End Game
After upgrading to Carpet of Spikes, you can sit back and relax. You do not need to take any more actions to beat Glacial Trail on CHIMPS!
Feel free to turn on Auto Start and cruise through to the end.
